Happy Birthday!

October 12, 2011

Gracy turned 5!
For her birday breakfast she had whole grain waffles with fruit
and whipped cream. Yum!

We went for a weekend visit to my parents cabin
where Gracy had cake #1, a spider cake.

Back at home Gracy had a party with her cousins.
They made caramel apples!

Cake #2, pumpkin cake.

October 7, 2011
The kids started school in UT about 6 weeks late,
they were busy playing in Hawaii.

Maddy's first day, a little more bundled up than
her first day of school in Hawaii.
She is a big 3rd grader!

Gracy and Marshal are both in preschool.

After school Bailey came and played and the dads took the
kids hiking up the canyon.

AloHa

 September 2011
We had the opportunity to spend 6 weeks in Maui for Josh's work.
It was the perfect amount of time to explore the island and see all the sights!

Maddy went to school there and loved it!

Bamboo climbing

Waterfall shower

Bamboo forest

Huge Banyon tree

Josh up towards the top!

One of the highlights of the trip was watching the sunrise over
Haleakala.  We had to get the kids up at 3:30am to make it,
but it was well worth it, breathtaking!!

The kids loved surfing and got quite good
Here is Marshal catching a wave.

Maddy

We always enjoyed some shaved ice after surfing.
The best!
They put icecream on the bottom and condensed milk on top.

Hawaiian Luau

Marshal and the pig they roasted underground.
When they uncovered it, it looked pretty gross, but really
loud, Marshal said, "Yum, that looks good!"

Maddy with the word champ fire dancer!

 Playing at Big Beach

Snorkeling in Lahaina

 Josh climbing a tree

We enjoyes hiking and exploring the island!

Half marathon

A day snorkeling off Molokini
The kids all LOVED snorkeling and did an amazing job!
Gracy is definatly the cautious one of the trio, but jumped right
in and loved it.  Marshal would get sick of it after about 10 minutes
and would climb on someones back to ride it out.

LaNd that I LoVe!

Independence Day!
It was so nice to have all the festivities right outside our door!
Supposedly hundreds of thousands of people come here to celebrate!
There were booths and activities all day!

Uncle Jordan playing with Gracy and Marshal

Marshal plugging his ears.

The best thing was being able to walk home after everything was said and done.
We didn't have to deal with all the traffic and waiting forever!
